Remember walking streets, brick to brick, jumping sidewalk cracks.  Dancing on the tips of toes, heel to heal. Avoiding broken glass with fragile feet, dirty toes to grasp.  A body in motion, extreme elation, but muscles in bones so frail.  Forever grounded, sole to grass, sprint to skip to tap tap tap.  Hold steady, hold still, graceful contortions, but stumble and grumble and fail.  These legs move heavy, these knees do snap, these ankles unsteady with breath to inhale.  Press forward, swing back, stretch and contract.  Desirous of grace while stuck in place, gestulation muted, vivacity paled.  Progress ever anchored but fluid flowing, heartbeat fast.
